Pop satirist “Weird Al” Yankovic is bringing his unique style of musical humor to the Mystic Showroom stage when The Alpocalypse Tour stops at Mystic Lake Saturday, August 3.

“Weird Al” Yankovic has spent the past four decades creating witty parodies of pop superstars’ greatest hits including “Eat It” (Michael Jackson’s “Beat It”), “Like a Surgeon” (Madonna’s “Like a Virgin”), “Smells Like Nirvana” (Nirvana’s “Smells Like Teen Spirit”) and “Perform This Way” (Lady Gaga’s “Born This Way”). He is the top-selling comedy recording artist of all time with more than 12 million albums sold worldwide, including 31 Gold and Platinum records. Yankovic has been nominated for 12 Grammys, winning three of the prestigious awards for Best Comedy Recording, Best Concept Music Video and Best Comedy Album. Yankovic has released more than a dozen studio albums featuring his signature mix of parodies and comedy originals. His latest album, 2011’s Alpocalypse, charted in the Billboard Top 10.
