Mystic Lake Casino Executive Chef Ranked Among Minnesota's Top 25 Chefs

MINNEAPOLIS, December 19, 2008 – Foodservice News recently announced their picks for the top 25 executive chefs in Minnesota, as nominated by their peers. The list reads like a who's who of the Minneapolis/St. Paul culinary scene and includes head chefs from restaurants such as Cosmos/Graves 601, Alma, 112 Eatery, Heidi's, Lucia, and Vincent. In addition to these trendy metro hotspots, accolades also were given to Executive Chef Richard Fisher at Mystic Lake Casino Hotel.

Preparing award-winning cuisine for the Midwest's premier casino, Chef Fisher not only serves eloquent cuisine but proves his ability to do it on a much larger scale. Chef Fisher oversees Mystic Lake's 14 different food venues, 15,000 square feet of kitchen space and 250 food personnel. With specialties and training from around the world, Fisher provides guests with a vast array of diverse choices, including gourmet cuisine and worldly dishes to burgers, French fries and everything in between. Chef Fisher also accommodates the requests from guests that order specialized menus for events and banquets. The chef will be raising the stakes this New Year's Eve when the casino serves more than 12,000 award-worthy meals in 24 hours.

Prior to joining Mystic Lake Casino, Fisher opened Soaring Eagle Casino in Mount Pleasant, Mich. Chef Fisher has studied around the world and increased his culinary prowess in Paris, Germany, Hong Kong and Austria, earning certification as a European Master Chef.
