Non-Alcoholic Scandinavian Christmas Glögg

Ingredients
1 bottle non-alcoholic red wine
1 qt black currant juice
½ cup raw sugar
1 cinnamon stick, broken into pieces
5 cloves, whole
8 cardamom seeds, whole
3 allspice berries
4 strips orange peel
½ cup raisins
¼ cup whole almonds, toasted

Method
In a saucepan, combine the red wine and black currant juice with the sugar and begin to heat over high flame.
Tie the cinnamon, cloves, cardamom and allspice in a cheesecloth bag or place in metal tea ball and add to the pot along with the orange peel and half the raisins.
Bring the mixture to a boil.
Reduce heat and simmer for 5-10 minutes. Drop a few almonds and raisins in serving mugs and cover with the hot Glögg and enjoy!
